Meet members of nearly every student organization at Rensselaer. This event takes place in the Armory the first Thursday of the fall semester. First year students are strongly encouraged to attend. Event open to all RPI graduate and undergraduate students.
This RPI tradition dates back to 1975 when the GM and PU kept a sign-up sheet for prospective ticket holders to reserve their place in line. Currently, Hockey Line is a celebration occurring the second week of the fall semester. Students must follow the rules set forth by the GM each year.
Reunion & Homecoming
Though Reunion & Homecoming is a program organized by the Rensselaer Alumni Association, Rensselaer Union clubs and organizations always take an active role throughout the weekend by performing at venues and interacting with alumni.
Traditionally held on the Saturday during Family Weekend, International Festival features performances and food from the multicultural student organizations at RPI, celebrating the contributions of our international and domestic student populations.
Held the Sunday of Family Weekend, the GM/PU Brunch celebrates student involvement and leadership at Rensselaer. Hosted by the Grand Marshal and President of the Union, this event is open to visiting families during Family Weekend, but does require a ticket and registration.
Big Red Freakout
Be sure to wear your red to this annual RPI Men's Hockey Game that occurs annually each February. Rensselaer Union sponsors a giveaway and there is spirit galore! #LetsGoRed
Each year, Winter Carnival is for all students at Rensselaer to enjoy outdoor activities and competitions which vary from year to year. Typically included are sled dog demonstrations, snow or ice carving competition, Winter Olympics, cardboard sled races, pictures with Puckman, a men's or women's hockey game, and a free skate at the Houston Field House.
Each April student government elections are held and concurrent to elections are events and programming activities open to the campus community. This week typically includes candidate debates, live music, entertainment and competitions. Students who vote in the election may also receive a free mug - an RPI GM Week tradition. Vote each year and grow your GM Week mug collection.
