- On the eve of Loree, the D&H purchased 50 all steel hoppers, in 1904. (I
believe these were their first hoppers.)
These were 31 ft. 6 ins.
long inside. The series was 4269-4318, with 47
cars left in '43, 40 cars in 1950, and I think
all gone by '53. I haven't
a clue as to how to model this class.
