Campus Recreation & Fitness
Facilities available to foster recreation and fitness at Rensselaer are as diverse as the recreational opportunities themselves. For those interested in martial arts, dance, yoga and other activities requiring a studio, there are multipurpose rooms to enjoy. Those who prefer a self-directed model and workout on their own time may visit the Mueller Center cardio floor and weight training facilities anytime, while those who enjoy intramural sports and competition utilize the various fields and indoor spaces maintained by either Rensselaer Union or RPI Athletics.
Funded and operated by the Rensselaer Union, the Mueller Center is home to many of the recreation facilities and wellness opportunities. Facilities calling the Mueller Center home are listed below.
Adjacent to the Mueller Center and operated by RPI Athletics, this space contains areas for various indoor sports including basketball and volleyball, as well as locker room facilities. This space is also referred to as "the Armory."
